I am a dance major who loves working with children and helping others. For my EDGE project I plan to run a dance program for children at the Cedar City Aquatic Center. While there are already established dance studios in Cedar City, supervising the dance program in community center will help make this experience available to children in different circumstances. It will also provide a safe and less competitive environment for them to learn, which is more conducive to building children's confidence. I believe my project fits in the Leadership Center because I will not only be leading and guiding students as they learn to dance, but I will be organizing the other teachers and class schedules as well. This project will help me gain the experience and skills to I need to become a better leader and teacher and will help round out my resume.
